Gravity Falls is one of the best cartoons from Disney, and it seems to be growing fairly quickly. At the famous San Diego Comic Con, SDCC 2013, there were two hilarious and very very awesome cosplayers supporting the show! Both the Grunkle Stan cosplay and the Dipper cosplay are amazing. Both had the flush on their noses, and have their signature hats. The pose of the Grunkle Stan is just like the show, while Dipper looks like he’s been learning more about the secrets of GravityFalls.
Falls is an American animated television series produced by Disney Television Animation for Disney Channel. The series was created by Alex Hirsch, a former writer for Cartoon Network’s The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack and Disney’s Fish Hooks. The first episode aired as a preview on June 15, 2012, but the series officially debuted on June 29, 2012. On March 12, 2013, the show was renewed for a second season at Disney Channel upfront. The protagonists are twin siblings Dipper and Mabel Pines, whom are in for an unexpected adventure when they spend the summer with their great uncle, aka Grunkle Stan, in the mysterious town of Gravity Falls, Oregon.
Today, we’re featuring an adorable Shiina Mayuri cosplay from the ever so popular Steins;Gate! We enjoy the detail the cosplayer put into her Shiina Mayuri cosplay, such as remembering to add in the little pink ruffle on her dress. Even her poses are totally cute! We’d have to say our favorite part is the bucket hat which completes this entire costume. We wonder how her work at May Queen Nyan-Nyan is going?
Steins;Gate takes place in 2010 during summer and features time and space travel as its main theme. The concept of cause and effect is featured prominently in the series as the protagonist, Rintarō Okabe, travels back in time, numerous times, to perform different actions in an attempt to change what has happened in the future. Mayuri Shiina is the protagonist’s childhood friend, whom enjoys cosplay and works at a maid cafe. (aww!) Steins;Gate started back in 2009 as a visual novel game for the Xbox 360. It was developed by 5pb. and Nitroplus, and was part of their science adventure game series. The prequel to Steins;Gate is Chaos;Head and its successor is Robotic;Notes. Later, Steins;Gate also has received an anime and manga series, as well as another video game.
Today, we’ve found two sweet cosplays to feature from our friends at Cosplay & Fan Gear! Here we have Russia from the hilarious anime Hetalia and Draculaura from the popular doll series Monster High. In this picture you can tell that they have amazing detail and of course the correct colors are always good, too. On the Russia Hetalia cosplay is a custom made scarf and coat with the exact medal from the show. On the Draculaura Monster High cosplay you can see the awesome crafted frills, vest, and skirt with adorable tulle at the bottom. Both of these costumes were hand made by Cosplay & Fan Gear, and were modeled at Phoenix Comicon 2013.
